About the Role
C & H Marine Construction, a leading company in marine infrastructure projects, is seeking a dedicated and experienced CDL Class-A Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting materials and equipment to our marine construction sites safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a variety of vehicles including trucks and heavy trailers to transport materials and equipment to and from construction sites.
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials, adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate logs and records in compliance with DOT regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues.
Navigate to construction sites using GPS and traditional maps, ensuring timely delivery.
Assist in general labor duties at the construction site as needed.
Communicate effectively with construction teams and management to coordinate logistics.
Requirements
Qualifications / Skills:
18+ years of age.
Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
Attentive to detail and alert at all times to ensure safety.
Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers.
Education and Licensing Requirements:
Valid CDL Class-A driver's license.
Clean driving record and proven safety record.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
